Oreamnos americanus - Mountain Goat - skilled rock climbers.   Body is creamy white with black horns, nostrils, lips and hooves.  Horns on the female are almost the same size as the male's.  Legs are short and muscular.   Two-toed hoof enables goats to grip the mountainside.  Males can weigh almost 250 lbs..  and reach a length of over 6 feet.  Females can weigh 250lbs. and reach a length of over 6 feet. Salt licks are important for their diet as well as grasses, mosses and other high-mountain vegetation.  Found on rugged mountains with steep slopes.
